Today, death has become medicalized—removed from daily life and hidden away behind clinical walls. Yet death is not the opposite of life—it is an inseparable part of it, bearing its own unique value. This perspective is echoed in the Lancet Commission on the Value of Death,
which urges us to restore balance and humanity to the way we approach dying. At Takadai Hospital, we believe that by facing death honestly and tenderly,
